Employee working environment and personal safety

GMT adheres to the principles of "people-oriented and safety first," and is committed to creating a safe, healthy, and human-centered workplace. It prioritizes the life safety and health rights of its employees, viewing occupational safety and health as a crucial cornerstone for the company's stable operation and sustainable development. The company actively constructs a safe, healthy, and prevention-oriented workplace environment. GMT firmly believes that only by ensuring employees work in a safe environment can their potential be unleashed, productivity improved, and a long-term, mutually trusting partnership established between the company and its employees. Although it has not yet formally implemented an international occupational safety and health management system (such as ISO 45001), the company plans to gradually promote the establishment of such systems and the integration of internal processes starting in the second half of 2026 to strengthen organizational risk control capabilities and occupational safety governance effectiveness, as well as improve systemic management efficiency and risk control capabilities.

I. Occupational Safety Management System Planning and Vision

To strengthen systematic management and align with international standards, GMT has completed its occupational safety and health (OSH) system review and plans to implement the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Safety and Health Management System starting in the second half of 2026. The system implementation will cover all departments and major work areas, focusing on risk identification, job hazard analysis, compliance assessment, continuous improvement mechanisms, stakeholder communication, and employee participation. Through standardized processes and oversight mechanisms, OSH will be integrated into daily operations and management.

II. Hazard Identification and Risk Prevention Enhancement

The company has established preliminary operational safety management principles and hazard prevention standards, and plans to further develop hazard identification, risk assessment, and accident investigation processes when the management system is implemented. In the future, a risk level assessment system will be introduced, with tiered control based on operational risks. This will be combined with digital modules for recording, statistics, and tracking management, improving information transparency and management efficiency. This will also help to identify potential risks early, proactively prevent them, and reduce the likelihood of occupational accidents.

III. Occupational Health Services and Mental and Physical Care Planning

GMT prioritizes employee well-being. In addition to adhering to legally mandated health check-up standards, the company plans to gradually implement occupational health services starting in the second half of 2025. These services are expected to cover stress assessment, health promotion activities, health counseling, and high-risk group tracking. Through multi-layered health management and the integration of external professional resources, the company will build a prevention-oriented health care network to help employees reduce occupational diseases and health risks at their source.

IV. Establishment of Employee Participation and Communication Mechanisms

Currently, various departments within the company have begun internal coordination and communication regarding safety issues, but a formal, institutionalized channel for employee participation and grievance communication has not yet been established. To enhance organizational transparency and a shared safety culture, the company plans to establish a formal communication platform starting in the second half of 2025, including an occupational safety and health proposal system, an anonymous reporting mechanism, and regular safety feedback meetings to strengthen communication between different levels and employees. Simultaneously, the company plans to establish a safety and health committee jointly composed of labor and management to ensure the representativeness and effectiveness of relevant decisions.

V. Education, Training, and Safety Awareness Cultivation

GMT continuously promotes occupational safety and health training for its employees, planning different levels of educational content for new employees, operators, and managers. The training covers topics such as general safety knowledge, workplace hazard identification, emergency response procedures, and the correct use of personal protective equipment. Training is conducted through a combination of internal and external methods, online and in-person, and is gradually incorporating modular teaching and case studies to enhance learning effectiveness. Post-training satisfaction and effectiveness evaluations are performed to confirm that training results can be effectively translated into on-site action. In the future, GMT will strengthen advanced safety management training for high-risk operations and department heads, promoting safety awareness in daily behavior and decision-making.

VI. Commitment to Promoting and Continuously Improving Safety Culture

GMT core vision is to build a workplace culture where "safety is a responsibility and health is an asset," driving comprehensive implementation across systems, processes, and culture. Moving forward, through policy implementation, training, employee participation, and cross-departmental collaboration, the company will continue to optimize workplace safety and health management practices, strengthening on-site execution and risk resilience. The company is committed to a prevention-oriented approach and continuous improvement, working hand-in-hand with all employees to create a healthy and sustainable workplace with zero accidents and zero incidents.
