Stage rail introduction
Introduction to Linear Motion Guide Rails - Roller Type
• GRV/GRD/GRV-S/GRD-S/GRVG-S/GRVP/GRDP/GRVG is composed of precision rollers arranged in an orthogonal configuration; the track undergoes heat treatment and ultra-deep cryogenic treatment, and then is precision-formed and ground with V-shaped grooves to form a high-precision linear motion body.
• A limited-stroke linear motion system with high rigidity, medium to heavy load capacity, and smooth operation.

Introduction to Linear Motion Guide Rails - Ball Bearing Type
• The ball-type GBV & GBD is a ball retainer composed of precision steel balls arranged with small spacing, combined with a special track with V-shaped grooves formed by precision grinding after ultra-deep cryogenic treatment.
• Ball bearing type is a finite stroke linear motion system with low friction, light load and high precision.

Features & Precision Description
Advantages and characteristics of stage rails:
→Most suitable for minute transfers
Because the frictional resistance is extremely small, and there is almost no difference between the starting frictional resistance and the motion frictional resistance, even minute movements can maintain correct tracking, making it a high-precision linear motion mechanism.
→Low-speed stability
Even under light loads, the variation in its frictional resistance is quite small, so it can maintain stable operation from low speed to high speed.
→High rigidity, high load capacity
Compared to steel balls, rollers have a larger contact area and less elastic deformation. Moreover, they operate in a non-cyclic manner, resulting in a greater number of effectively rotating parts, thus achieving high rigidity and a larger load capacity.
→Low noise
GMT linear motion guides do not rotate continuously, so they do not generate noise. Because they use ball bearings with retainers, there is also no noise from friction between rotating parts, achieving quiet operation.
Stage rail selection
Product Selection Process – Stage Rail
1. Select the rolling element retainer according to the load requirements:
2. Select heavy load → roller or light load → ball.
3. According to the diameter of the rolling element.
4. Select the required type based on the stage rail's 'installation method'.
5. Select the desired 'specification'.
6. 『Usage Environment』 Material Selection: SUJ2 and SUS440C

GMTLinear motion guide rail
It consists of two V-shaped grooves that are hardened by heat treatment and then formed and ground with high precision. Together with rolling elements, the rollers move alternately at a 90-degree angle to achieve the requirements of high parallelism and high flatness.
In terms of construction, because the rolling elements use precision cylindrical rollers and V-grooves in a cross-line contact manner for transmission, and it is a non-cyclic method, the variation in frictional resistance is also quite small. Even under light loads, the starting frictional resistance is almost the same as the moving frictional resistance, thus achieving high-precision movement and high load-bearing capacity.
Stage rail application
It is widely used in high-precision, heavy-duty or light-duty precision moving devices, in various measuring instruments, printed circuit board drilling machines and other precision machines, or in optical testing instruments, optical experiments for precision measurement, precision fine-tuning of optical work stages, operating mechanisms, inspection devices, precision positioning, quantitative movement, X-ray devices and fine hole discharge machines, etc.
lubricating
Effective lubrication is essential for linear motion. Operating without lubrication will increase wear on the rolling elements and shorten their lifespan. Lubrication function:
1. Minimize friction between moving parts to prevent jamming and reduce wear.
2. Form an oil film on the rolling surface to reduce metal-to-metal interface wear and extend the service life of the rolling elements.
3. Cover metal surfaces to prevent rusting.
